PRESIDENT HICHILEMA PLEDGES TO BOOST MINING SECTOR IN NORTH WESTERN PROVINCE

During his visit to Solwezi Airport, President Hakainde Hichilema assured the residents of North Western Province of his government’s commitment to opening more mines in the region.

Highlighting the potential for development, President Hichilema emphasized the importance of reopening mines such as Kasenseli and Kalengwa, which could significantly benefit the province.

He commended the reinvestment efforts of major mines like Kansanshi and First Quantum Minerals, stating that his administration aims to create more job opportunities for the local population.

The President’s remarks were well-received by the people, who expressed their excitement at hosting him for the national Labour Day commemoration.

North Western Province Minister Robert Lihefu echoed the sentiments of the community, emphasizing their enthusiasm for the President’s visit and the prospects it brings for the province’s mining sector.
