U.S. Gold Adopts Glencore’s Jameson Cell to Enhance Recovery at Wyoming’s CK Gold Project

U.S. Gold Corp. has selected Glencore Technology’s Jameson Cell flotation system to improve gold and copper recovery at its flagship CK Gold Project in Wyoming.

The decision follows extensive engineering, optimization, and trade-off studies conducted as part of the project’s Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) and execution plan.

Partnership with Glencore Technology

U.S. Gold first engaged with Glencore Technology in late 2024, when the Jameson Cell—originally developed in 1986—was presented as a modern upgrade to conventional flotation systems.

Subsequent testing on CK Gold ore confirmed notable recovery improvements, building on results from the company’s February 2025 Prefeasibility Study. Independent analysis by Halyard Micon International projected that incorporating the Jameson Cell could boost the project’s net present value (NPV, 5%) by approximately $36 million over the mine’s life.

CEO Endorsement

U.S. Gold President and CEO George Bee highlighted the advantages of the technology:

“Through rigorous trade-off studies and testing, we have confirmed that this technology offers improvements over conventional flotation cells, including higher metal recovery, reduced power consumption, and a smaller equipment and warehousing footprint.

This strategic decision strengthens the already robust economics of the CK Gold Project, positioning us for success in the domestic production of strategic metals. We thank the Glencore Technology team for its support and performance guarantee, and we look forward to optimizing our project further with their expertise.”

Additional Support and Permitting Progress

Glencore Technology has also guaranteed pricing for unused Jameson Cells—originally acquired for a cancelled project—through October 2025, offering U.S. Gold additional cost certainty.

Meanwhile, the company continues to advance permitting milestones. In November 2024, its subsidiary Gold King Corp. secured the final air quality permit for the CK Gold Project from the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, clearing a key regulatory hurdle for development.
