Rome Resources Confirms Extensive Copper and Tin Mineralization at Mont Agoma

AIM-listed Rome Resources has reported promising assay results from drill hole MADD018 at its Mont Agoma prospect in the Democratic Republic of Congo, confirming substantial copper and tin mineralization.

Key Findings

  • Drill hole MADD018 intercepted a cumulative 62.25-meter high-grade copper zone at 0.61% copper, within a broader 148-meter interval averaging 0.35% copper.
  • Drill hole MADD024 revealed visible tin mineralization over a 40-meter interval, alongside a 179-meter copper zone.
  • The tin zone in MADD024 is located 70 meters beneath MADD012, which previously returned tin grades between 0.1% and 0.3% over 40 meters, suggesting an increase in tin grades at depth.
  • While assay results for MADD024 are pending, X-ray fluorescence (XRF) readings support Rome’s geological model and the potential for deeper tin mineralization.

Exploration and Future Plans

Mont Agoma has historically delivered significant polymetallic mineralization, with copper and zinc dominating near the surface, while tin grades increase at depth. The deposit remains open along strike and at depth, providing strong potential for expansion.

Rome Resources is now:

  • Engaging metallurgical experts to optimize recovery of copper, tin, zinc, and silver from Mont Agoma and the nearby Kalayi prospect.
  • Accelerating exploration with all four drill rigs focused on Mont Agoma.
  • Advancing deeper drilling to assess increasing tin grades and extend mineralized zones along a 1,000-meter strike extension.

CEO’s Statement

“The confirmation of 148 meters of copper mineralization at Mont Agoma is a major milestone in defining the potential scale of this system,” said CEO Paul Barrett. “Our results indicate a large-scale, high-value copper, tin, zinc, and silver system. Importantly, mineralization remains open for further expansion.”

Barrett emphasized that the expanded drill program will provide a steady flow of results as the company works toward defining a maiden inferred mineral resource estimate.

This version refines the flow, highlights key data points more clearly, and improves readability. Let me know if you’d like any adjustments!
