Atomic Eagle Expands Uranium Resource Potential at Zambia’s Muntanga Project

Australian mining company Atomic Eagle has reported encouraging drilling results from the Chisebuka deposit at its wholly owned Muntanga Uranium Project in Zambia, extending known uranium mineralisation and identifying new higher-grade zones.

The latest drilling programme has expanded the northern higher-grade mineralised zone to approximately 900 m by 600 m, while the southwest higher-grade zone now extends across an area of about 830 m by 400 m. The company also confirmed continuous mineralisation between the existing resource area and the newly identified southwest extension.

As part of its ongoing 2026 exploration campaign, Atomic Eagle has completed an additional 29 drill holes, bringing the total to 42 holes and 4,209 m drilled at Chisebuka during the current phase of work.

Following the completion of ground radiometric surveys across six initial target areas, the company has mobilised two drill rigs to begin exploration at the Muntanga North target. Access approvals have also been secured for the Namakande 1 and Namakande 2 targets, where radiometric surveys are expected to commence ahead of drilling planned for the third quarter of 2026.

Chief Executive Officer Phil Hoskins said the first phase of exploration had successfully identified a new higher-grade uranium zone to the southwest while extending the boundaries of the existing mineral resource at Chisebuka.

He noted that, subject to further technical evaluation, Chisebuka could become a significant contributor to Atomic Eagle’s long-term objective of developing a large-scale uranium operation in Zambia. Hoskins added that recent radiometric survey results have helped refine several previously untested targets, particularly at Muntanga North, where drilling is expected to begin shortly.

The Muntanga Uranium Project covers a 146 km strike length near Lake Kariba and comprises four mining licences and two exploration licences, making it one of the company’s key growth assets.

Looking ahead, Atomic Eagle plans to commence diamond drilling in the fourth quarter of 2026 to obtain core samples for metallurgical testing and grade verification, supporting future resource growth and project development studies.
